Frequency Ventures mission is to connect Australian sophisticated and wholesale institutional investors with venture capital funded technology start ups.

Frequency Ventures holds a current Australian Financial Services Licence (No: 493852) and is authorized to provide general and financial advice in securities to wholesale investors, Superannuation Funds, Investment Banks, Wealth Management Organisations, Family Offices and Financial Advisory Services Institutions.

Frequency Ventures partners with accelerators, incubators and venture capital firms in Australia and Silicon Valley. With 20 years experience in investing in software technology business, Frequency Ventures management have the experience and network in both Australia and Silicon Valley to help super funds, alternative asset managers and family offices diversify their portfolio internationally.

MANAGEMENT

Marc Phillips, Founder & Managing Director

Marc Phillips is a serial technology entrepreneur and venture capitalist. As a founder, he has three exits in data, video analytics, ad platforms and brand protection/domain management software companies.

Having lived in Palo Alto, in the heart of Silicon Valley for 15 years, Marc co-founded Arafura Ventures in 2011.

Marc has invested in over 20 software start-ups including Geodelic, GlanceGuide, Playhaven, WebIP, SessionBox, Retargeter, Contivio, Gridium, PacketZoom, Transifex, Qvivr, and CloudStaff.

Key investments made alongside NEA, Khosla Ventures, First Round Capital, Shasta Ventures, Baseline Ventures, Tandem Capital and Toba Capital.

Marc holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is the author of several books including ‘Inside Silicon Valley’.

Josh Edis, Associate

As an entrepreneurial co-founder and advisor to various start-ups, Josh has been has been involved in the commercialisation and growth of multiple international technology, marketing, media and data driven companies over the past 25 years.

Most recently, Josh co-founded Limepay in 2017 acting as Chief Operating Officer and responsible for all $30 million capital raising and investor relations. Limepay allows merchants to integrate an online payments platform with their own branding.

Having lived throughout Australia and San Francisco, Josh has spearheaded a variety of early stage growth companies, M&A transactions, technology licensing and distribution partnerships for some of the world’s most advanced technology and data driven companies, including the likes of Telstra, Equifax, REA Group, Carsales Ltd, News Corp, NewAtlas.com, AFL, ESPN and Disney, in addition to Google, Yahoo!, AdSlot, Lexer, Adacado.com, Signal.co and Krux (Salesforce DMP).
